There are a variety of roles to be fulfilled on the day of the race, to help ensure the success of the event. These include: registering runners before the start of the race, driving a minibus to transport bags and runners who retire from the race, keeping track of runners times at checkpoints, providing food / drink to runners at checkpoints, marking the route with tape or glow sticks, sweeping at the back of the race, handing out medals and t-shirts at the finish line etc.
We would be particularly interested in hearing from qualified first aiders, people with experience of managing water / food stations, or those with the skills / experience to drive a minibus / people carrier. However, we would be very happy to hear from you if you simply want to help out.
All volunteers offering approximately 5 hours or more of their time on the day of the race will receive an event t-shirt, the option of free entry into the subsequent event, plus a small budget for food and drink throughout the day.
If you would like to help, please feel free to contact us.
